If you liked the movie The Revenant and are rooting for it to win in its nominated fields during the upcoming Academy Awards ceremony this Sunday, Feb. 28, then here are two items at two different Arkansas museums that you will enjoy seeing.

Watch The Revenant Movie

Western drama 'Lawless' is set in Depression-era Franklin County, Virginia, and sees Tom Hardy as Forrest Bondurant, the tough-as-nails middle brother of the bootlegging Bondurant gang, with Shia LaBeouf and Jason Clarke playing the other brothers in the family. Lawless is directed by John Hillcoat, and Tom Hardy's performance as Forrest Bondurant in this movie is quite stunning.Lawless"When the law became corrupt, outlaws became heroes."70R1 hr 55 minAug 29th, 2012Watch Lawless Online

One of the reasons that Hardy took the role of Venom was reportedly because his son was a big fan of the character. If you like Marvel movies, you should definitely watch this one. In the bleak days of the Cold War, espionage veteran George Smiley (Gary Oldman) is forced from semi-retirement to uncover a Soviet mole at the heart of MI6. The movie is based on the classic spy novel by famed writer John Le Carré, and features a bevy British actors like Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, and Toby Jones. Hardy plays a pivotal character named Ricki Tarr, the field agent who first informs Smiley of the existence of the mole.Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy"How do you find an enemy who is hidden right before your eyes?"66R2 hr 7 minDec 9th, 2011Watch Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy Online

Tom Hardy's career ignited with his first major role in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers in 2001. That same year he also landed a small role as a soldier in the Ridley Scott's epic war movie 'Black Hawk Down'. The following years saw Hardy turn in reliable performances in movies such as 'Layer Cake,' 'Marie Antoinette,' and 'Rocknrolla.' Indie film fans took notice of Hardy when he took on the title role in 'Bronson,' a performance that won him the Best Actor award at the 2009 British Independent Film Awards. But it was his breakthrough performance in the movie 'Inception' helped him become a Hollywood movie star. Tom Hardy's net worth is around $45 million, and upcoming projects include 'The Things They Carried,' 'Mad Max: The Wasteland,' 'War Party,' and 'Havoc.'

According to officials, Morarity has agreed to assist the FBI in producing a public service announcement about the harms of copyright infringement and piracy. Morarity copied the Fox screeners onto a portable drive and uploaded the movies from his home computer on Dec. 17 and 19, 2015.

There are a handful of movies that have been both venerated by film buffs, but also contain scenes that are so tragic, disturbing or brutal that audiences aren't jumping at the chance at a repeat viewing.

Stanley Kubrick's dystopian look at youth violence initially nabbed an X rating in the U.S. -- and was withdrawn from U.K. release in 1973 after some copycat crimes. And the aversion-therapy scenes remain unforgettable and difficult to watch, even the first time.

"In the Land of Blood and Honey" (2011) Angelina Jolie's feature film directorial debut depicts the brutalities of the 1990s-era Bosnian War. One scene involving an infant is so gut-wrenching, moviegoing audiences were reported to have either left the theater or covered their eyes.

THE REVENANT is a big budget, artsy, mixed message movie with strong Christian content combined with strong spiritualist content. The violence in THE REVENANT is too excessive, the cursing is anachronistic, and the movie is far too long with repeated scenes of the same type of graphic violence.

Aside from the gruesome violence and the abhorrent language, THE REVENANT is very limited by the lack of character arcs and monochromatic expressions of all the actors. For instance, Fitzgerald starts off as abhorrent and never has any character growth. Glass stays the same throughout the whole movie, with a slightly jumping character growth at the end. The photography, though beautiful, is also monochromatic, always dark, grey and foreboding.

If you missed Leonardo DiCaprio battling through the wilderness and getting mauled by a bear in The Revenant, now is your chance to see it for free. The FreeVee streaming platform has made the movie available in the US, so you can see the role that finally won Leo the Oscar. Oh, and it has a pretty great Tom Hardy performance as well.

AU: Mad Max is what happens if you take the oil-guzzling Anthropocene to its logical extent: The world becomes a dried-up wasteland, ruled by a hideous, water-hoarding tyrant who serves as a literal embodiment of the patriarchy. War is the norm, carried out on the back of souped-up sports cars and big rigs. I can count on one hand the number of times I saw the color green in this movie: none.

In a year when pudgy, aging men seem determined to deny young women the basic right to equal opportunity and health, watching Furiosa give King Joe and his coked-up frat boy hordes the rout comes with an extra vicarious thrill.

I love movies, simple as that. I watch them with an intent to write about them and have always enjoyed discussing the latest news and releases with others. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Mass Communications/Digital Filmmaking and combined those interests when I began writing about cinema. Hope you enjoy the reviews, Happy reading!

The Hollywood Foreign Press may have made a not-so-stellar decision. The Martian is nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Motion Picture - Comedy category. And although the movie has surely earned it's spot in the nominations, many are wondering if The Martian is, in fact, a comedy. The movie centers on Mark Watney, an astronaut accidentally stranded on Mars by his colleagues, and tells the story of his quest to survive and Earth's efforts to get him home. Not exactly LOL-worthy when you see it on paper.

There's no question that the movie is a top contender this awards season. The Martian has a 93 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and critics praised the plot. Rolling Stone's Peter Travers wrote in his September review that, "you won't find a space epic that's more fun to geek out at than The Martian." The movie also earned Golden Globes nominations in two other categories: Ridley Scott for Best Director - Motion Picture and Matt Damon for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy category. But fans and critics aren't disputing the potential accolades. Rather, they are wondering if The Martian should go up against The Revenant and Room instead of Spy and Trainwreck?
